Idiyappam

Ingredients

  • 2 2 Cups Raw rice flour
  • 1 1 Cup Grated coconut
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix rice flour with boiling water and salt with a big spoon or a rod. Knead it in to a smooth dough.

  2. Fill it in idiyappam presser/sieve and press it on to banana leaves on which a little grated coconut has been sprinkled. Add a little grated coconut on top and steam it in an idly-maker for 5 minutes.

    Tips:
    You can also press it directly on to an idly-dish without banana leaves and steam it for 5 minutes.
