Pacha Sambar



  • 1 1 Cup Sambar dal
  • A small piece Asafoetida
  • 10 Green chillies
  • A small piece Jaggery
  • Tamarind
  • 10 Ladies finger
  • A few Coridander leaves
  • Salt to taste


  1. Wash and cut ladies fingers. Cook them in tamarind water and salt with chilli and turmeric. Add cooked dal.

  2. Dissolve asafoetida in water and add to the curry. Add coriander leaves, curry leaves and jaggery. Season with mustard, black gram dal and broken chillies.
